John,

Term limits is now one of the hottest issues in the country, and USTL's grassroots volunteers are working overtime in the states to bypass Congress and call the Term Limits Convention to impose term limits on the U.S. House and Senate.

Here's this week's update:

>>> Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick, a term limits pledge signer, won a special election in Florida's 20th congressional district this week bringing our total to 95 pledge signers in Congress.

>>> 47 more candidates for Congress or state office this week pledged in writing to support term limits. The USTL pledge team's mission is to identify candidates who are willing to sign the term limits pledge and then educate voters on which candidates stand with the 80% of Americans who support term limits.

>>> Term limits convention legislation is being filed in more states.  Keep up to date on where our efforts to bypass congress stand at the USTL Take Action Page https://www.termlimits.com/takeaction/

>>> The January/February issue of No Uncertain Terms, the newsletter of the term limits movement is out! It provides an in depth report on the fight for term limits. Read it in large format online at https://www.termlimits.com/2022-no-uncertain-terms-newsletter/

>>> Countdown to Term Limits Day February 27th! Term Limits Day is just around the corner. Stay tuned for a schedule of events for the biggest day of the term limits year!

>>> In Tennessee, the Johnson County Commission Board just passed a resolution calling on the state legislature to call the Term Limits Convention.  In the volunteer state  House Joint Resolution 8 has already been approved by the state house and USTL volunteers and field coordinators are working overtime to convince the state senate to follow suit.  We are really close to adding Tennessee to the list of states supporting the Term Limits Convention.
