Republicans drew the new congressional map to try to give themselves a 12-3 advantage in a state where they rarely even get 55% percent of the popular vote.

Here’s what Justice Michael P. Donnelly wrote in the blistering majority opinion on the decision:
“When the dealer stacks the deck in advance, the house usually wins. That perhaps explains how a party that generally musters no more than 55 percent of the statewide popular vote is positioned to reliably win anywhere from 75 percent to 80 percent of the seats in the Ohio congressional delegation."
This isn’t a casino, and cheating is not just immoral, it’s actively disenfranchising Ohio voters.
Republicans are gambling with Ohio voters’ right to vote — and they’ll do anything it takes to win and overthrow our razor-thin Democratic majority in the House and Senate, even if that means putting their finger on the scale.
