midnight, but I wanted to explain to you directly what this deadline is,
and why it’s so important.

The New York State Board of Elections requires that candidates for state
and local elections disclose how much money they’ve raised in any given
filing period. This number is publicly reported — meaning anyone can find
it online.

My team and I set a $20,000 goal so that everyone looking at our
fundraising numbers, including potential opponents, can see how much
grassroots support our movement has. But right now, we’re a little bit
behind on our goal.

The good news is that we can still hit it if everyone who is able to pitch
in does so before midnight. That’s why I’m respectfully asking:
