It has been more than a year since Trump was impeached for a second time, but he has yet to face any legal consequences for the violence he inspired. Instead, he is free to dine with despots at Mar-a-Lago and play golf whenever he pleases.

Just days after a violent mob attempted to stop the peaceful transfer of power, the newly re-elected Democratic House Majority voted to impeach Donald Trump for the second time.

I am proud of the work we did in the House in just one week — despite our staff and offices having been under attack by Trump’s violent insurrectionists just days before. Working under such intense circumstances, with the future of our democracy hanging in the balance, is no easy task, but serving as an impeachment manager in the most bipartisan impeachment ever is an honor I will never forget.

But it has been more than a year since Trump was impeached for a second time, but he has yet to face any legal consequences for the violence he inspired. Instead, he is free to dine with despots at Mar-a-Lago and play golf whenever he pleases.

Between the GOP’s refusal to participate in the ongoing investigation into the January 6th attack, and Trump’s own persistent lie that his supporters were not behind the insurrection, the Republican Party continues to pose a massive threat to our democracy.

I’ve voted to impeach Donald Trump twice before, team, and I would do it again. But this fight is not over yet, and the GOP is poised to retake majorities in the House and the Senate this November.

We have to fight back, friends, and I need your support. On the anniversary of this dark day in American history, will you make a contribution to protect the Democratic House and ensure that nothing like this ever happens in our country again?

Thank you.

— David
