John,

Yesterday, PA-01’s Representative Brian Fitzpatrick voted NO on legislation — the Freedom to Vote Act and John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act — to expand and protect voting rights.

The right to vote shouldn’t be a partisan issue in this country, but Fitzpatrick and his fellow Republicans — who uniformly voted against these bills — have made it so.

The GOP has long attacked the right to vote, but have ramped up their attacks in recent years, especially after the historic turnout we saw in the 2020 election. In state legislatures like here in Pennsylvania, they’ve introduced thousands of bills to weaken our right to vote by passing voter ID laws, purging voter rolls, and banning or rolling back same-day voter registration, vote-by-mail, and ballot drop-boxes.

And Fitzpatrick just gave them a pass to keep doing it.

Our democracy as we know it is at stake, John, and Republicans have proved they’re willing to do anything to keep and amass power.

That’s why it’s CRITICAL we protect and expand our Democratic majorities in the House and Senate this November, and that includes flipping this seat from red to blue.

Unlike Brian Fitzpatrick, I will always stand up and fight for your sacred right to vote. Help me get on the ballot and beat him in November: please pitch in $10 or whatever you can to fuel our campaign and help us reach our mid-month deadline by tomorrow at midnight.

I fought for democracy overseas as a combat veteran, and I’ll sure as hell fight for it in the halls of Congress. We just need to build enough people-power to get me there.

Thanks for all you do,

Ashley
