I’ve been working hard in the Senate to pass legislation that addresses the issues that matter most to Wisconsin’s working families — from expanding affordable health care and lowering prescription drug prices through the Build Back Better Act, to finally passing legislation protecting our fundamental right to vote.
But it’s becoming more clear than ever that in order to make the progress our working families are counting on, we need to expand our Senate majority — and it could all come down to Wisconsin.
You see, just one week ago, Republican Senator Ron Johnson announced that he’ll seek re-election here in Wisconsin. And with the Senate majority on the line, you can bet dollars to donuts Mitch McConnell and his right-wing allies will do and spend whatever it takes to keep this seat red and block our progress.
But this team is no stranger to a tough fight. Despite the millions of dollars right-wing special interests and dark money groups spent to attack us in 2018, we won re-election by double digits. And in 2020, we witnessed record-breaking numbers of voters heading to the polls to help us flip Wisconsin blue and send President Biden to the White House.
Now Democrats, myself included, need this incredible grassroots team to lead us all to victory again. That’s why I’m asking:
Will you pitch in ahead of our mid-month deadline tomorrow to help our team flip Wisconsin’s other Senate seat blue and protect our Democratic majority? We have a tough fight ahead of us, but together, I know this team is capable of anything.
