If you're just as mad as I am about Sinema and Manchin obstructing the democratic agenda, then work with me to expand our democratic majority.

Team,

On Wednesday afternoon, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer announced his plan to force a Senate debate on crucial voting rights legislation.

Then, on Thursday morning, the House passed H.R. 5746, which is now called the Freedom to Vote: John R. Lewis Act – a critical bill that will both prevent voter suppression laws from taking effect in states that attempt to adopt them and combat the increased threat of election subversion we’ve seen over the past few years.

The final vote to adopt this piece of voting rights legislation will be subject to the 60-vote filibuster threshold in the Senate – and at this moment, both Kyrsten Sinema and Joe Manchin have refused to come out in support of getting this bill passed in the Senate. As a Democrat and a fellow American, I am outraged at their failure to step up and protect our democracy.

If you're just as mad as I am about Sinema and Manchin obstructing the democratic agenda, then work with me to expand our democratic majority. Rush $5 or more now to help send me to the U.S. Senate where I will vote to abolish the filibuster and pass legislation to protect the right to vote. [[link removed]]

Here in Wisconsin, voting rights have never been more at risk. Just yesterday, a Waukesha County Judge ruled that absentee ballot drop boxes are not allowed under Wisconsin law – a ruling that could have catastrophic consequences for voters here in Wisconsin during a critical midterm election year.

Extreme partisans and Republicans in Washington don’t care about our democracy. They don’t care about your constitutional right to make your voice heard at the ballot box. All they care about is hanging onto power – and they have demonstrated that they are willing to do it by any means necessary, including subverting our elections.

With our democracy on the line, we need leaders in D.C. who are ready to scrap the filibuster and get critical pieces of voting rights legislation across the finish line – and as your U.S. Senator, that’s exactly what I’m prepared to do. Chip in $5 or more now to help me get it done. [[link removed]]
