It’s been a big few weeks at the Raskin home in Maryland. First,
Congressman Jamie Raskin's new book on the Jan 6 insurrection hit store

Now, President Biden just nominated Sarah Bloom Raskin for the top job
overseeing banks and climate policy at the Federal Reserve. How big a deal
is this?

Politico: "Sarah Bloom Raskin would mean a tougher stance toward Wall
Street and a much bigger focus on climate change at the Fed."

Axios: "Biden is giving progressive senators like Elizabeth Warren
(D-Mass.) a policy and personnel win on a position about which they care
deeply."

Elizabeth Warren: "Sarah Bloom Raskin is a tough and thoughtful financial
regulator with decades of experience at the state and federal level. In
the important role of Vice Chair for Supervision, she brings a commitment
to protect the American people that has been sorely missing from the Fed
Board for years."

Climate leader Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI): "This is good news.
Sarah Bloom Raskin really gets it on climate."

The Senate confirmed Sarah twice to other powerful government jobs.
