Valerie is the candidate in this race that we can count on to be an effective leader in Congress because she has a proven record of getting things done. While ​​serving in the North Carolina state House and state Senate, Valerie passed bipartisan legislation to help folks in rural areas access improved healthcare services and passed legislation to end child marriage, to name a few.

But in addition to the effective leadership Valerie has demonstrated throughout her career, Valerie understands the people who live in her district and will work tirelessly to represent them.
