Alaskans,
The second session of the 117th Congress kicked off this week! I wanted to take a moment to update you on my work in Washington, D.C. on behalf of all Alaskans. As always, if you have any concerns about legislation or need assistance with a federal agency, do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,

Standing Up Against Attacks on Alaska’s Energy Workforce
Click here or on the image above for my video message on this week's NPR-A decision.
President Biden and heavy-handed D.C. bureaucrats are at it again; this time, they’re targeting the hardworking men and women of the North Slope – including many union members.
This week, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) announced a return to the 2013 Integrated Activity Plan for the National Petroleum Reserve – Alaska (NPR-A). By returning to this outdated plan, the federal government is shutting down almost 50% of the NPR-A.
For years, the NPR-A has been crucial to providing affordable energy to families across our country. This move by the BLM is not only insulting to the workforce of the North Slope, but also extremely foolish. Gas prices around the nation are soaring; why then would President Biden and the BLM want to kneecap our domestic production, thereby emboldening our oil-producing adversaries overseas?
This reversion, championed by bureaucrats thousands of miles away from the NPR-A, is dead wrong. I condemn it and call on President Biden to end his Administration's attacks on Alaska's economy and way of life.
I want to hear from you. Click here to take my constituent survey on the NPR-A.
Securing $25 Million in Infrastructure Funding for Denali National Park
Big infrastructure investments are already on their way to the great State of Alaska!
The soaring peaks of Denali are some of our state's most iconic natural features. Each year, Denali National Park welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors from across the world, and it is vital that this treasured attraction remains accessible for years to come.
This week, the Department of the Interior announced that $25 million from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law will be made available to address the Petty Rocks landslide. Over the past few years, the landslide has severely degraded Denali's road system, putting public access in severe jeopardy. These crucial resources will go a long way toward restoring the road and enhancing its resiliency for the future.
The Alaska Delegation was united in our fight to ensure the infrastructure law would provide historic support for our state. This funding is just the tip of the iceberg in what will prove to be game-changing infrastructure investments in Alaska.

Protecting Alaskans Against Constitution Against Unconstitutional Overreach
This week, we secured a tremendous victory against the Biden Administration's overreach at the United States Supreme Court. Since President Biden announced his vaccine mandate for businesses with 100+ employees, I have been vigorously opposed. In fact, I proudly signed on to legislation that would overturn this heavy-handed Executive action. Like many Alaskans, it was clear to me that President Biden's one-size-fits-all approach violated our Constitution. I am vaccinated against COVID-19 and recently received my booster shot. These vaccines are safe, effective, and can help save your life. But this is a question of individual choice. I encourage all Alaskans who have not yet received a COVID-19 vaccine to do so, but I will never support a mandate forcing you to. I applaud the Supreme Court for recognizing the great folly of President Biden's vaccine mandate and striking it down.
Addressing the Alaska Oil and Gas Association
It was my great honor to speak to members of the Alaska Oil and Gas Association (AOGA) at their Annual Conference this week. Alaska's energy workforce is second-to-none. Now more than ever, they need someone to fight for them in Congress. I'm proud to stand with workers against continued attacks from the Biden Administration and those who would lock Alaska up from energy development forever. Thank you for inviting me and I hope you had a great conference!

Standing with the Men and Women Law Enforcement
On Sunday, we recognized National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. I am grateful for the vital work our brave men and women in uniform do to keep communities across Alaska safe. I will always stand with those who wear the badge. May God Bless our law enforcement officers!
