The Union Veterans Council isn’t taking the day off on Veterans Day, Nov. 11. It’s treating the day as an opportunity to reach out to the homeless veterans community in the nation’s capital. 

That’s why it’s spending this coming Monday conducting critical outreach to homeless veterans in the area. Will you join local veterans and pitch in, too? Sign up to volunteer here.

An estimated 400 veterans in Washington, D.C., are experiencing homelessness. The Union Veterans Council has teamed up with Veterans on the Rise, a non-profit organization in Washington that provides housing and services to homeless veterans, to tackle this epidemic head-on.
