The NYC Comptroller is New York’s Chief Accountability Officer, and I take that very seriously. Accountability is a shared project, and it starts by listening to New Yorkers about their experiences and opinions about government services and life in our city.

ICYMI That’s why I partnered with CUNY’s Center for Urban Research to conduct a sweeping survey on public satisfaction with the New York City government.

With these survey results in hand, I have a clearer road map on what New Yorkers’ concerns are, where city government isn’t measuring up, and what public sector programs need auditing and accountability. Learn more about the survey and our findings on WNYC.

Two years into a pandemic that has had a profound, and unequal, impact on the health and safety and finances of so many, New Yorkers are clear that addressing housing affordability, increasing mental health services, and ensuring our streets and subways are safe places to walk, ride and bike will be essential to our recovery and a thriving future. I am committed to partnering with each of you to realize a more equal, more prosperous New York.

With hope,

Brad
