Walking and Cycling
Walking and cycling
Woodville Road, Sherwood, trial scheme
Last year we consulted on a proposal for a two-way closure to motor traffic on Woodville Road, near the junction with Haydn Road.
To gather further feedback a trial closure will begin on Monday 17 January and last for six weeks. We'll be inviting comments from residents living in the area, who have been contacted directly, before making a decision on whether to leave the closure in place, modify it, or remove it.
This scheme is funded through the Government's Active Travel Fund to encourage more walking and cycling by creating safer, more attractive routes.
*Nottingham Bike Aid*
There are 100 bikes left to give away as part of the City Council funded Bike Aid project, delivered by Ridewise and Nottingham Bikeworks. The project provides free bikes to low income earners working in Nottingham. Find out more. [ [link removed] ]
