Call Your Senator to Renew the Child Tax Credit Monthly Payments
Hi ,
For the past six months, parents have been getting a Child Tax Credit check. The next one was supposed to show up today, but it’s not going to. Thanks to the Senate’s inability to move forward with the Build Back Better Act, the expanded Child Tax Credit expired at the end of 2021.
That money was so much more than just a check. It was groceries, gas in the car, a new pair of gloves, or simply peace of mind. It is unacceptable that Congress let the checks expire, and it will be infinitely more inexcusable if they don’t start them back up as soon as possible.
So today, when the next round of checks were supposed to land in bank accounts and mailboxes, we need you to let the Senate know just how unacceptable their inaction is. If you are missing your payment today, use the script below, or feel free to come up with your own, and call your senator.
