John,

Members of Congress are able to make huge profits from buying stocks that
they know will perform well based on pending legislation and private
briefings. Yet, Speaker Nancy Pelosi doesn’t see a problem with that.

[ [link removed] ]Insider headline reads Pelosi rejects stock-trading ban for members of
Congress: 'We are a free market economy. They should be able to
participate in that.

This is unacceptable. Members of Congress buying stocks is what allowed
Republicans to use private COVID briefings to profit from stock purchases
in February 2020, before the public even knew a pandemic was about to hit.
Members of Congress buy stock in companies, including fossil fuel
companies, as they consider legislation that will directly benefit those
companies.

[ [link removed] ]Sludge headline reads At least 100 House Members are Invested in Fossil
Fuels.

Stock trades will continue to fuel policies that profit big corporations
AND Members of Congress, but NOT benefit the people.

[ [link removed] ]John, can
you help us fight to advocate for a stock trading ban in Congress and
elect more Representatives who won’t use their position for profit? Donate
$3 right now so we can fight back and change the status quo
in the political establishment.

Justice Democrats like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez spoke out when Speaker
Pelosi rejected the stock trading ban. There’s growing outcry over each
instance of a wealthy member of Congress, like Pelosi, dropping a lot of
money on a company’s stocks that their corporate-friendly policies will
help.

If we’re going to change Washington, and implement a ban on Members of
Congress trading stocks, then we need to change who is in Congress. We’re
doing that by working hard to protect our incumbent Justice Democrats and
elect 6 new Justice Democrats this year. [ [link removed] ]If you’re ready to upend the
status quo and transform the Democratic Party, chip in $3
to Justice Democrats right now.
