# [#]Hi NAME/Friend,

I have always believed that voting is the cornerstone of our democracy. It’s a right that ensures we can advocate for change that puts our community and our loved ones first.

Growing up in Illinois, I have fond memories of joining my loved ones on voting day to advocate for change and ensure my voice was heard.

But today, states are imposing restrictive barriers to voting, especially those that are particularly harmful to voters of color. It is clear the GOP knows that when we all show up, we win, so they’re ramping up their oppressive tactics.

President Biden made it clear in his recent speech that attacks on voting rights will not be tolerated in our country, and he urged the Senate to do everything in their power to protect the right to vote.

NAME, the future of our country is on the ballot, and every single vote matters. I need you to stand with me and President Biden today and call on Congress to pass comprehensive voting rights legislation to protect our voices >> [[link removed]]

As the election quickly approaches, we need to ensure every American has equal and fair access to the polls.

As President Biden said yesterday to the American people: “You know, the right to vote and to have that vote counted is democracy’s threshold liberty. Without it, nothing is possible, but with it, anything is possible.”

NAME, our democracy is on the line and we do what it takes to protect it.

Will you stand with me today and urge Congress to protect voting rights? [[link removed]]

Thanks for stepping up,
