What Families Need to Know about the CTC in 2022
The expanded Child Tax Credit has been a highly effective policy tool to fight child poverty. Due to Congressional inaction, however, the monthly payments have ceased for 2022—and the January payment would have arrived today. But families are still eligible to receive the remaining balance of their 2021 CTC payment. Learn more about how families can claim this remaining balance by filing their 2021 tax returns as early as January 24.
