This year, our supporters selected a photo featuring the Montana Great Outdoors Project. This project is an opportunity to permanently protect nearly 200,000 acres in Northwest Montana through “working forest” conservation easements. The property available for conservation would stitch together 317,000 acres of conservation work completed over the last 20 years. The opportunity to protect this property completes the connectivity of previous conservation efforts and would ensure permanent public access to a highly used recreational corridor. It is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

We are working to protect this land, and other places around the country, which is why we need your help in 2022. Our January Membership Drive is under way, and when you join The Trust for Public Land today, you’ll help us meet our goal to have 150 new members by January 31. We’ll say “thank you” by sending your new card to officially make you a member in good standing for 2022 — and recognize the role you play in creating parks and protecting public land for people.

When you become one of the 150 new members to join The Trust for Public Land today, your membership will support the Montana Great Outdoors Project and many other projects including:
  • Our Community Schoolyards™ projects, which will transform underused schoolyards into vibrant public parks in communities across the nation, improving park access for 6 million people by 2025.
  • Our work to permanently protect 384 acres of undeveloped land on Banning Ranch in Southern California, which is one of the largest tracts of private land remaining on the California coast.
  • Our efforts to connect more than 3 million people to 1,000 miles of local and national trails and greenways by 2025, like we did in Oregon, where we created the Butte Falls Community Forest, a 450-acre property that offers hiking and biking trails, a historic railroad park, park amenities, and managed forestland.
But to keep the momentum going to save thousands of acres, expand our efforts to build parks in communities that need them most, and transform underused schoolyards into vibrant public parks, we rely on the support of our members.

John, will you be one of 150 members who join today?

Sincerely,
Sabra Lugthart Signature
