Unpacking Supreme Court Justices’ Reasoning in Vaccine Mandate Decisions - For nearly 100 million American workers waiting breathlessly for an answer, a Thursday Supreme Court decision delivered good news for many, although not all. In a rare late-day release of opinions, the Supreme Court issued its rulings in a pair of federal vaccine mandate cases that went to the Court on an emergency basis. In both cases, the question before the court was not how to respond to the pandemic, but who holds the power to do so. Japan Is Becoming an Increasingly Valuable Partner in Resistance to China’s Authoritarian Advances - Tokyo has issued increasingly bold statements of support for Taiwan against Chinese intimidation, even hinting at military support if Beijing attacked Taiwan. Japan has steadily increased military cooperation with Australia and other regional partners, stepping up its regional security role. Heritage Experts Fact Check Biden & Harris’ Lies About Elections, Voting Rights, Filibuster — President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris repeated numerous falsehoods about the election process and the filibuster Tuesday while pushing their anti-voter agenda in Georgia. These comments come as Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer prepares to cast aside decades of Senate precedent and force changes to the filibuster in order to pass two unpopular and dangerous election bills, both of which failed to gain majority support in the Senate last year. Both bills would overturn state election laws that are critical to securing our elections, outlawing basic safeguards such as voter ID requirements while enabling practices like mass ballot trafficking. These bills would make it easier to cheat in U.S. elections and undermine confidence in the electoral process. Heritage Experts: Hans von Spakovsky  and Zack Smith

How This Labor Department Nominee Threatens 59 Million Workers -
Weil’s efforts to attack independent workers, would not only dampen their bright outlooks, but could put their entire livelihoods and ways of living on the line. One of the Biden administration’s and Weil’s primary goals it to implement the PRO Act—a Big Labor wish list that includes upending independent contracting. Most workers don’t want to step back two years in time, less yet more than half-a-century to the one-size-fits-all industrial-era union model Weil wants to impose. Heritage Expert: Rachel Greszler
