* Supervised contact workers will provide a consistent service to families with the aim of achieving high quality contacts between children and their families. Work as part of Childrens Integrated Services and supervise contact sessions betweenChildren/young people and their families within the agreement and processes of the care planning agenda. To work to support parents/carers whos contact is supervised to provide safe and child focused sessions.To provide up to date information to the Social Worker, Principal manager and the courts of progress of contact and issues arising.Educated to at least NVQ L3 standard with a relevant children and families qualification or equivalent experience.To apply for this role we would like for you to respond to the following items taken from the person specification for this role in your personal statement.
*ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: *
* Hold a relevant child care qualification
* Reliability when reporting back to managers when required. Able to take decisive action during non-compliant and dangerous situations. Appropriately safeguard Children/Young People.
* Ability to manage complex group dynamics and diffuse conflict without isolating diverse perspectives, seeking support in the set tasks appropriately.
* Able to record efficiently and in a timely manner ensuring the use of the electronic database is central to recording.
* Hold a valid driving licence and have access to own transport for the efficient performance of duties.
* Ensure you have business cover on your car insurance.

*The Opportunity:*
An exciting opportunity to join our expanding Design Services team and make a real contribution to the growth and development of our Commercial & Operations Department. You will play a key role in working as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the design, refurbishment and onsite delivery of projects across a wide ranging property portfolio.

*Key Duties & Roles:
*The post holder will be responsible for providing a full range of cost management and quantity surveying services, on a variety of projects, working with multi-disciplinary in-house / external teams toward the safe and successful completion and management of construction projects and programmes of work.

Responsibilities include; Providing full and detailed Quantity Surveying information in connection with financial, fee and contract management; production and management of service wide KPIs and budget forecasts; contractor performance reviews; monthly financial reports; liaison with design, construction and supply chain teams to capture, analyse and control cost; manage early warnings and change control; negotiating and assessing tenders; preparation of project cost, fee monitoring & value reports; assisting in the preparation and agreement of applications for payment.

*ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Substantial post qualification experience as a practising Quantity Surveyor, pre and post contract, in connection with a wide variety of capital/revenue based projects and programmes, including working knowledge on a range of contracts including; JCT/NEC/Framework Agreements.
Essential experience in; feasibility cost estimates/production of tender documentation/cost analysis, preparation of Bill of Quantities, fee monitoring & management/contractual management/estimating and cost planning activities/NRM/specifications/VE and life cycle costing.
Excellent communication oral and written, numeric and computer skills, with an ability to skilfully negotiate in a range of circumstances, in particular contractual situations. A high level of self-motivation.
Knowledge equivalent to that gained in training to achieve membership of the RICS as demonstrated by work carried out in previous employment. *Job Role* The Mental Health (North) team is a specialist team that commissions and reviews a wide variety of packages of care for citizens who are in contact with secondary mental health services, with the aim of promoting independence and wellbeing. In addition to undertaking initial assessments and submitting packages of care for approval, members of the team regularly write reports for Mental Health Review Tribunals, undertake Mental Health Act Assessments (Approved Mental Health Professionals) and formally assess the capacity of citizens to make key decisions about different aspects of their life. The successful candidate will work a job share arrangement with another part time manager, and will be jointly responsible for the whole team. The candidate will lead and manage the team, to achieve and sustain high standards of performance and customer service. This will include complex case supervision / safeguarding, performance management and business strategy planning, as well as a detailed and in depth knowledge of relevant legislation and current drivers in Social Care. The successful candidate must also be a qualified Approved Mental Health Professional. ** *Essential Requirements*
* Qualified Social Worker and AMHP, with current HCPC registration;
* Advanced knowledge and understanding of relevant key policies, procedures, drivers and legislation in relation to the duties of the post;
* Experience of effectively managing the performance, conduct and attendance of colleagues, including dealing effectively with issues of concern or under performance
* Ability to analyse and creatively develop and manage service provision to meet the needs of a diverse range of citizens and carers
