John, this is outrageous.

Republican state legislators in North Carolina drew extremely gerrymandered Congressional districts, robbing thousands of North Carolinians — particularly Black and brown voters — of representation for their political advantage.

Erica Smith is running to represent NC-02 — a once-safe Democratic district that is now a toss-up thanks to Republican efforts to silence voters.

But, we were just dealt a major setback. On Tuesday, a panel of judges ruled to uphold the GOP gerrymander of North Carolina’s congressional district lines.

Republicans should not have the ability to erase our communities’ voices through these extreme gerrymanders. Add your name to our urgent petition today calling on the Senate to eliminate the filibuster and pass the Democracy-saving For the People Act.
