Team —
Two days ago in a powerful speech about the need for voting rights reform, President Joe Biden asked, “Do you want to be on the side of Dr. King or George Wallace? Do you want to be on the side of John Lewis or Bull Connor? Do you want to be on the side of Abraham Lincoln or Jefferson Davis?”
I know where I stand. I was proud to join my fellow Democrats to pass the Freedom to Vote Act in the House of Representatives earlier today.
That’s why I am deeply disappointed in supposedly-Democratic Senator Kyrsten Sinema's announcement today opposing any filibuster reform, which is crucial to the passage of any voting rights legislation in the Senate.
I came to Congress to fight for the issues that matter most to families and workers in the Lehigh Valley and across the nation. I am sick of Democrats like Kyrsten Sinema who don’t act like Democrats and who put their personal agendas ahead of the priorities of real Americans. It’s simple: if she is going to block legislation on an issue as important as voting rights, then she is in the wrong party.
We are at an inflection point in our democracy, which Senator Sinema either fails to recognize or chooses to ignore. Neither is acceptable. The future of our country is at stake and all Democratic elected officials must row together to save it.
I am asking you today to sign my petition to show that there is immense grassroots support for filibuster reform in order to pass the Freedom to Vote Act.

Together, we can ensure a path to passing monumental voting rights legislation.
Thank you,
