Year after year, corporate Democrats lose elections and blame
progressives. The Democratic establishment did it in 2020 when the House
majority shrunk and they did it in November when a corporate Democrat lost
the Virginia governor’s race. Now, they’re getting ready to blame
progressives in 2022.

off with their favorite rhetoric as the Democratic Party enters a
challenging midterm year where it is in deep danger of losing the House
and Senate majorities

John, we know
that if corporate Democrats spent their time passing Build Back Better or
supporting hugely popular policies like Medicare for All and a Green New
Deal, the party could win over voters in November. Instead, corporate
Democrats continue catering to their Wall Street donors. They won’t even
pass the most basic reforms pending in Congress — like lowering
prescription drug costs or renewing the Child Tax Credit.



Justice Democrats is fighting to transform the Democratic Party to one

This isn’t about progressive “rhetoric” hurting Democrats in elections.
It’s about the political establishment and corporate donors trying to
block progressive policies, no matter what. Because we know progressive
policies are a win for the people and at the ballot box.

Justice Democrat Cori Bush says it best:

“If Democrats brought home expansive climate action, a federal minimum
wage of at least $15, paid leave, police reform, and Medicare for All, we
would win in a landslide. The problem is that these are not getting done,
year after year, even while basic necessities like housing and health care
keep getting more and more expensive.”

The best way we can counter the lies of the political establishment and
their all-out effort to block transformative change is by electing more
Justice Democrats, who we know will be our loudest advocates for Medicare
for All, a Green New Deal, and so much more. It’s time the Democratic
Party puts people over profit.
