I’m about to ask you to chip in just $5 to my campaign, but first let me explain why:

• Thanks to redistricting, the race for IL-06 just became a lot more competitive. And with just six months until the primary election, I have a much shorter amount of time to connect with new voters – which means I need more resources to make up for lost time.
• IL-06’s partisan rating was moved from “Likely” to only “Lean Democrat” – meaning that Republicans are now even more likely to flip this seat, and are going to invest even more resources to defeat me and take back the House.
• My mid-month deadline is just around the corner, and I need to raise another $2,000 for my team and I to be able to continue with our voter outreach, door knocking, and phone banking efforts.

So, friend, will you chip in just $5 today? Every dollar helps me hold my seat so that I can keep representing you and your interests in Congress.
