John, I’m proud to be beginning this year by continuing my work on the Philadelphia City Council to bring bold, transformational change to our city.

There is a lot of progress that must be made to ensure Philadelphia is a more equitable and safe city for all, and I want to make sure that I am centering the issues that mean most to you in my work on Council.

My bill to create a public bank in Philadelphia is moving forward, and I’m excited to see the progress that it will continue to make throughout this year.

Additionally, after experiencing record levels of homicide in our city last year, largely due to gun violence, I’m committed to doing more this year to increase public safety in Philadelphia.
