** The premier international event
for the rule of law
------------------------------------------------------------
In 2019, justice officials, advocates and donors from around the world gathered at the World Justice Forum to ask a critical question: How can people-centered data pave the way to equal access to justice for all? These discussions helped shape a movement that is generating progress to close the gap for the 5.1 billion people ([link removed]) who face unmet justice needs. A new roadmap laid out a robust justice data agenda. Donors are increasingly prioritizing justice system reforms that are user-friendly, data-driven, and transparent. And in 2020 the United Nations adopted SDG 16.3.3 – a new people-centered justice indicator.

In less than five months, World Justice Forum 2022: Building More Just Communities ([link removed]) will build on 2019 momentum and take on new rule of law challenges. Be among the changemakers to dig into this year’s intersecting themes: access to justice; anti-corruption and open government; and equal rights and nondiscrimination. Join us, in person in The Hague or online at this year’s first-ever hybrid conference, May 30 - June 2.

Meet Courageous Changemakers

Mexican documentary filmmaker and WJP researcher Roberto Hernandez previewed his cutting-edge work at a 2019 Forum working session: a documentary film investigating the impact of 2008 criminal justice reforms in Mexico. What he found was disturbing, and led to threats against him and his family. Today the resulting docuseries, Reasonable Doubt ([link removed]) , is getting wide exposure on Netflix. Though Hernandez has left his native Mexico, he continues his quest for justice. Read a Q&A with Hernandez. ([link removed])
