It’s a fact, John: Everyday people are ready to elevate Democratic women of the New American Majority to positions of REAL leadership and power. And Emerge is here to make it happen! 

Emerge is supporting Democratic women as they run grassroots campaigns for office and win – from school boards to state houses all over the country. And those efforts are paying off big time.

Today we’re celebrating the FIRST all-women city council in Las Cruces, New Mexico! Three out of six council members are Emerge alums, and a majority are women of color. Newly elected Emerge alum Becky Corran serves as the first LGBTQ+ woman on the council as well.

Representation matters, John. But it’s more than just SEEING diversity in politics. Representation is about what that diversity means. 

When we elect bold women leaders, we’re electing folks with actual knowledge about the people they serve – not bias, judgments, or stereotypes. That knowledge means more real, just, and compassionate policies for struggling communities:
