We're in danger of losing a critical Senate seat: John, Jeff Sessions is expected to enter the Alabama Senate race and challenge my colleague and friend Sen. Doug Jones.

Washington already is so dysfunctional -- by President Trump and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's design. They seek to divide us even more, and they refuse to address the important issues facing our country.

Sessions -- who has deep ties to the Trump Administration, the Russia investigation, the Muslim ban, and family separation policy -- would only further divide us. That's not what we need in the Senate.

We need a leader who will work across the extreme partisan divide to get things done, and that's exactly what Doug has done here in the Senate.
