As we approach the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., I am thinking about the hope he had for our nation. “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character,” he famously said. 

But color is still a dividing issue. Alleviating poverty and putting an end to racial injustice is a responsibility we must never forget or abandon.
