I had to make a tough choice, friend. 

I looked at our fundraising numbers and decided that if we’re going to compete with Republicans' attempts to rig our elections, we have to increase our goals.

We cannot wait for the North Carolina Supreme Court to review the gerrymandered maps on appeal – we must keep fighting for the leadership Western North Carolina deserves. Now that we’re in an election year, there’s no time to rest.

Absentee voting in Jasmine’s primary starts in just two months, and it’s clear that if we want to win and replace Madison Cawthorn’s right-wing extremism with love, hope, and empathy, we need to step up our game, fast.

That’s why I set our mid-month goal to $20,000. It’s a big risk, but we’re counting on this grassroots team to help us achieve a big reward.
