Friend,

We need to reform our country’s broken food system — let me explain why:

You don’t have to be an expert to recognize that the factory farming system in the U.S. exploits workers, abuses animals, harms our environment, and rips off consumers, all while putting money into the pockets of massive multinational corporations. Factory farms also create prime conditions for disease and could cause the next pandemic.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, our food supply chain nearly failed due to decades of consolidation in the livestock and meat supply chain. Food prices have gone up for families. And due to inhumane working conditions and lack of safety precautions, hundreds of meat processing workers died tragically from COVID-19.

It’s time we change the way we supply food in America by eradicating factory farms and breaking up the massive corporations that prevent competition, mistreat and underpay workers, and take advantage of consumers.

That’s why I introduced the Farm System Reform Act . My legislation would increase competition, phase out large factory farms, and create a healthy and dependable food supply chain.

Add your name as a citizen co-sponsor of my Farm System Reform Act . Together, we can change the way we supply food in America. [[link removed]]
