Now that it’s 2022, it’s official: My name will be on the ballot this year. I’m running for re-election to continue serving Marylanders in the House.

I love my home state and I love representing Maryland in Congress. I want to keep fighting for families, seniors, and veterans; for climate action; and for gun safety and violent crime prevention.

But I can’t do it without the help of generous supporters like you. Will you make your first contribution of 2022 to help get our campaign off to a strong start? [[link removed]]

In 2020, candidates like Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene entered the House and brought their extreme and divisive ideologies and rhetoric with them. They’ve threatened to shut down the government and our values like access to reproductive health care and voting rights.

We can’t afford more representatives like Rep. Greene in Congress working to drive us apart.

I’ve always worked to bring people together, find common ground, and deliver commonsense solutions to the biggest problems facing our district, our state, and our country.

But here’s the reality our campaign is facing in 2022: People like Rep. Greene are raking in millions of dollars to fund their campaign war chests, and Washington Republicans and dark-money groups are targeting Democrats like me in order to flip the five seats they need to take back the House.

I’m counting on strong grassroots support from now until November so we can keep Maryland’s 2nd and the House blue and so I can continue delivering for Marylanders in the House. I hate asking for money, but if you’re able to make your first contribution of the year to our campaign today, it would make a big difference. [[link removed]]
