Kevin McCarthy was formally asked to answer questions about his communication with Trump on Jan 6th.

From the beginning, Kevin McCarthy has done everything to protect Trump and obstruct the work of the Jan 6th select committee.

We expect McCarthy will REFUSE to cooperate. To those of us who know him, that's not much of a surprise. But if we let this go unchecked, McCarthy will continue to undermine the select committee and block any real investigation into Jan. 6th.

Maybe McCarthy knows more than he's letting on.

Maybe he's too afraid of being subpoenaed by this commission to elaborate on his and Trump's role inciting mob violence that led to multiple deaths.

Either way, McCarthy has once again made it clear he's on the side of those who want to ignore the attack on our Capitol and our democracy. It's shameful, and he must be stopped.
