John,
On Monday, we sent you an email asking you to fill out a survey about the issues that are on your mind as we build our policy agenda for 2022. A number of folks reached out to let us know the survey form was broken. We’re sorry about that – and we’re writing to let you know that we’ve fixed the form and we still really want to hear from you!

TakeAction Minnesota’s work is powered by people. As we prepare for the 2022 legislative session and a major election cycle, your input is critical to developing a policy agenda that reflects the issues you care about most. Your voice really does matter.
Take our member survey by Friday, January 28. Let us know what’s on your mind. What issues should be on our radar? What should our candidates be prioritizing as they run for office and co-govern with us? Where should we be investing the billions of federal dollars our state will be receiving from the American Rescue Plan Act?

Subject: Shape our strategy: What issues are on YOUR mind and heart?
Dear Friends,
Now is a critical time we hear from YOU.
As we launch an election year and legislative session, we want to know what issues are on YOUR mind and heart. Share your input now to help define our strategies this legislative session, upcoming election season, and beyond.

As a grassroots, people-powered organization, members are critical to shaping TakeAction’s campaigns and policy priorities. For over a decade, TakeAction Minnesota members have organized with thousands of individuals like you toward an inclusive democracy and economy that works for all of us. From voting rights to health care, climate justice, and paid sick time, our members have made their voices heard at the Capitol, city hall, and corporate board rooms.
Here’s why we want to hear from YOU. Members of TakeAction Minnesota believe that:
Policymaking is the people’s business; it shouldn’t be done behind closed doors by political and corporate elites.
We always have something to learn.
We’re all in this together. Our health and well-being is connected, and we can accomplish more together than we can alone.
Those most directly impacted by an issue should be in the driver’s seat – making decisions, crafting solutions, and taking action.
This is a big year. Every member of the state office, the legislature, and the U.S. House is up for re-election with new district maps. The state has an unprecedented $7.7 billion budget surplus. As we face another year of the pandemic, we have a choice: continue bolstering record profits of corporations or seize this opportunity to create a better future for all of us, no matter our race, income, gender, or zip code.
This looks like investing in care infrastructure, climate solutions, true public safety, canceling student debt, and creating a public health care system that includes everyone, no exceptions.
Whether it’s implementing Build Back Better programs in the state or preparing for the Supreme Court to overturn Roe vs. Wade, the priorities of our elected officials matter greatly this year.
As a member of TakeAction, what issues do YOU believe should be on our radar and policy agenda? What issues should candidates be running and governing on? Where do you believe billions of federal dollars from the American Rescue Plan Act and Build Back Better should be invested?
