Wednesday, January 12 Round Up: NPH analyzes the Governor’s Budget, become a BAHIP host agency, nominate an affordable housing leader, and more!

NPH Analyzes the Governor’s Budget

Earlier this week, Governor Gavin Newsom released his 2022-2023 state budget proposal, which includes critical investments to address the state’s housing needs and assist those experiencing homelessness.

While the Governor’s proposal includes important affordable housing and homelessness solutions, ongoing investments at scale will be needed to fully address the long-term needs of our communities in the Bay Area and throughout California.

Read the full NPH analysis to see the housing and homelessness solutions that are included, and what further investments NPH will advocate for in the May Revise.

Want to further your engagement? Join our Legislative Issues Working Group! Ensure Historic Housing Investments Remain in Build Back Better!

Speaker Pelosi and other congressional leaders had started to look for ways to move the Build Back Better plan forward, and we need every single Democratic senator and nearly all Democratic representatives to enact this legislation and its historic investments in affordable housing.

It is crucial that advocates continue to make their voices heard to protect and advance the bill’s historic investments.

You can do your part by calling or emailing your members of Congress today!
