An outdated procedure in the Senate is stopping us from passing laws. We want to help people, but the filibuster makes that nearly impossible.
And we need to make sure the lawmakers we elect can pass the laws people want.
That starts with sidelining the filibuster and passing voting rights legislation.
The Senate already has two voting rights bills: the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and the Freedom to Vote Act. They haven’t passed yet because of the filibuster.
Embarrassing.
So call your senators and tell them to sideline the filibuster and protect our right to vote.
