After being subpoenaed by the New York attorney general, Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump Jr. are refusing to testify about alleged wrongdoings at the Trump Organization.

The members of the Trump family are one and the same. Their modus operandi is to consolidate wealth and power for themselves, no matter whom and what they hurt in the process, and to protect one another at all costs. And now, they've consolidated nearly the entire Republican Party around protecting them as well. But no matter who you are or how powerful you are, you must be accountable in the eyes of the law.

There's a legal storm swirling around the Trump family, Friend – and it's about to start pouring.

New York Attorney General Letitia James has issued subpoenas for Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump Jr. – seeking to uncover the truth and bring accountability for alleged wrongdoings in the Trump Organization.

Whether in the White House or Trump Tower, the former President and his family have consistently taken steps to enrich themselves while harming others and threatening our democratic institutions. Whether it's in business or in government, we must hold Trump and his family accountable – and ensure they are never again in positions to inflict damage.

Right now, nearly the entire Republican Party is holding hands with Trump and trying to protect him at all costs. No amount of shady business dealings or attacks on our democratic institutions can loosen the Republican Party from Trump's grip. They are "counting" on grassroots Democrats like us to look the other way. But I know this movement stands for truth and accountability. So, in light of these revelations that Attorney General James is investigating Donald Trump's children, we must keep up the grassroots pressure to uncover the truth.
