Friend, if you’re anything like us, you’re constantly wishing there were more environmental champions in government.

How about you? Are you interested in running for office but don’t know where to begin? Or do you know someone who would be perfect but just needs a little extra push?

Our sister organization LCV is partnering with re:power to host a Candidate Academy that will focus on training a diverse group of leaders planning to run in down-ballot races across the country.

The deadline to apply is Friday, so sign up today for the Candidate Academy to get the training and skills you need to plan your campaign →

The Candidate Academy is an interactive, intensive, online training over the course of four weeks on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from January 18 through February 10.

There will be homework between sessions to develop campaign messages, fundraising plans, and more. Each month, you’ll have the opportunity to meet with other candidates for support and coaching.

If you’ve ever considered running for any level of office, the Candidate Academy is the perfect way to get started. You’ll learn everything you need to know about running a campaign, including budgets, timelines, fundraising, messaging, voter targeting, volunteer recruitment, and field strategy.

So friend, before Friday’s deadline, consider running for office and applying to be part of the only candidate training focused on instructing a diverse group of climate champions. Or spread the word to any environmental warriors in your life.

Please note: The training is free for people who have not yet declared candidacy for office (those who have not filed or launched campaign websites yet); declared candidates must pay to participate.

Hope to see you out on the campaign trail!
