Dear friend,

As we look back on the past year, we reflect on the months spent fighting to protect and expand our democracy. We’ve seen just how fragile our democracy can be if we aren’t proactive – but we also believe that together, we can make substantive change to ensure that the rights of all Americans are protected.

That’s why this Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend, we are joining Martin Luther King III, Arndrea Waters King, and Yolanda Renee King in honoring their family’s legacy and that of civil rights leaders by advocating for legislative action on voting rights NOW.

This Saturday, January 15th – on Martin Luther King. Jr.’s birthday – we’ll take action in Arizona to honor the King family’s legacy and that of civil rights leaders by advocating for legislative action on voting rights NOW.

What: The Arizona Deliver for Voting Rights Mobilization

Who: Martin Luther King III, Arndrea Waters King, Yolanda Renee King and local faith, community and elected leaders

When: January 15, 2022 at 9AM MST

Where: S 15th St. & E Jefferson St., Phoenix, AZ.

Join us to make it clear to our elected leaders that there will be no celebration without legislation.

Then, on Monday, January 17th – on Martin Luther King Jr. Day – we’re taking our movement to Washington, D.C. Join us there to raise our voices with the King family and voting rights advocates as we chant Dr. King's Historic Call: Give Us the Ballot!

Where: First St. SE & Potomac Ave. SE, Washington, D.C.

Join us there to remind our elected leaders about the urgent need to pass voting rights legislation. 

We’re also looking for voting rights advocates to take action across the country by hosting or attending an MLK Day event in your own community. Click here to find an upcoming event near you and take part in our team effort to uphold the King family’s legacy and preserve our democracy.

There’s no time to wait - we honor Dr. King with action. Join us in upholding the legacy of MLK JR and demanding voting rights now, as he fought so hard for the legal right to vote.
