Hey there,

We’re building a campaign to win the nomination and I wanted to give you an update on our strategy.

You’ve been hearing a lot about the work we’re doing in Iowa because the caucus is approaching quickly and winning in Iowa is key to unlocking the rest of the country.

So even if you are not in the Hawkeye State, we will continue to keep you posted on the work we're doing there because of how crucial it is to this primary campaign.
I’ve worked in Democratic politics for nearly 20 years and I know what it takes to win an election. To help us do that, we’re establishing a brand new initiative called the “Marathon States Fund,” so we have the resources to win this nomination. [[link removed]]

We’re calling it the “Marathon States Fund” because this race doesn’t stop in Iowa, and we don’t, either. We’re building the team and the plan to win -- in Iowa, yes, definitely, but also in New Hampshire, Nevada, South Carolina, California, the “Super Tuesday states,” and beyond. It’s a marathon, not a sprint.

We’re kicking this off with a million dollar goal. Will you chip in today to help us meet this goal by Sunday night? [[link removed]]

Because this campaign has always been committed to transparency, I’m going to tell you exactly why your “Marathon States Fund” contribution is so critical.

Below, I’m outlining three key imperatives we’re focused on. We’ve lined up campaign leadership for the rest of the weekend to update you on the specifics. You’ll hear from folks like our campaign manager, Mike; our deputy campaign manager, Hari; and our national organizing director, Greta -- so stay tuned.

Establish a strong ground game.

Invest in organizing. We’re building organizing teams all across the country and we need to make sure they have the resources they need to recruit volunteers, knock on thousands of doors, and persuade voters to commit their support to Pete.Donate here to help us build the strongest ground game in the race. Spread our message to as many people as possible.

Spread Pete’s bold and unifying vision for the country. The enormous momentum behind our campaign is proof that Americans are ready for the type of leadership that Pete offers -- one that can rally people together behind bold ideas that finally deliver the help the American people and our country urgently need.

We need to make sure we have the resources to run TV and digital ads, and keep them up as long as possible.Donate here to make sure every possible voter hears Pete’s message. [[link removed]]

Generate the resources we need to sustain the campaign.

We’re going to win. Building teams and running our communication programs is expensive. We need to make sure we have the resources we need to get our teams in place now , and that we have money in the bank to sustain our advertising and outreach programs.Donate here to help us fund our strategic path to victory. We've worked so hard to build a groundswell of support, and we have no intention of losing our momentum after Iowa. Invest in our “Marathon States Fund” [[link removed]] to make sure we have what it takes to win every state.

I am so grateful for your support, and motivated each day by your hope.
