Hi John,
Two years ago on January 5, 2020, the rights of hundreds of Iranian-American families were violated when they were detained overnight at the Peace Arch border crossing in Blaine, Washington by U.S. border officials who targeted them due to their backgrounds.
The facts are clear in the aftermath of U.S. strikes against Iran: Customs and Border Patrol issued a blatantly discriminatory order encouraging the targeting of Iranian Americans based on their ethnic heritage, resulting in outrageous detentions of Americans.
When news of the detentions became public, CBP issued a statement via Twitter that was a lie [[link removed]] claiming that Iranian Americans were not being detained and that no such order had been issued.
The Department of Homeland Security has shamefully continued to stonewall requests for a public apology and full transparency. But we know as a fact that they had a directive and they chose to enforce that directive which targeted our community. Now, we're demanding a public apology without further delay.
John, can you help us demand action by sending us a donation of $25 or more so we can fight against the discrimination of Iranian Americans? [[link removed]]

Thank you for helping NIAC Action do the important work of holding those responsible for this action accountable.
