I believe that we all have the right to safe, affordable, and livable housing, and I know that investing in public housing is essential to making it possible. But that’s not a reality for too many people in New York and around the country.

That’s why I’ve been a champion of public housing my entire career -- but NYCHA and other public housing authorities currently do not have adaquate resources to maintain good living conditions to keep their residents safe and healthy. That's why I'm leading the fight to address this crisis.
