John, did you see Ashley’s email on Monday about growing far-right extremism here in Bucks County?
Not only did Bucks County have the most participants in last year’s violent Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, but it’s made multiple headlines recently, particularly when it comes to our school boards.
One Bucks County school district reportedly removed LGBTQ books from school libraries, and last week, a school instructed teachers to avoid talking about the insurrection with students.
This sadly isn’t just happening in our neck of the woods. A new Washington Post article investigated the growing far-right extremist movement coming to school boards and local government nationwide, and reported:
“In recent years, far-right groups have been moving away from national organizing to focus on building grass-roots support, harnessing conservative outrage to influence school boards and other local offices.“
And the scary thing is, they’re winning.
We can’t let a few vocal extremists destroy our children’s education or allow more attacks on our democracy to happen. That’s why we need a leader like Ashley in Congress, who will fight back against dangerous misinformation and far-right conspiracy theories, and vote to strengthen our voting rights and public education.
Extremism is growing under Republican Brian Fitzpatrick’s watch. Help us replace him with Ashley next November and flip this seat blue by pitching in $10 or more now.
