Team,
President Biden and Vice President Harris spoke in Atlanta yesterday about the urgency of passing voting rights legislation. As part of their remarks, they also condemned the Republican-led nationwide attack on our constitutional right to vote.
As a representative of the Virgin Islands, an American territory where residents can’t vote for President, the fight for voting rights is a cause I have led for many years, and I urge the administration to take their efforts a step further and also pursue equal voting rights for the people I represent.
The right to vote is not guaranteed. Black people in America have been fighting for equal access since the beginning, and I am proud to continue that fight. But I need you by my side. Will you contribute today and support my efforts in ensuring the right to vote for all?

When my colleagues and I in the House presented the case to impeach Donald Trump for his role in the insurrection, we knew our democracy had been pushed to a breaking point. It was clear to us that we all needed to work together across party lines to strengthen America’s electoral process.
But instead of working toward protecting our democracy, many of my Republican colleagues have turned a blind eye to the attack on democracy in our communities. In fact, in 2021, GOP-led legislatures passed dozens of voter suppression bills taking further aim at weakening our democratic institutions.
And if Republicans take the House back this year, they will continue to chip away at the foundation of our democracy. I won’t let them. I will fight back every step of the way. Are you with me?
