Team,
I recently spoke with CNN about the ongoing spread of disinformation about our election system - because a group of residents in Crow Wing County were misled into pushing the County Board to engage in a "forensic audit" of its 2020 general election results.
Without any evidence or specific accusations, the group repeated vague and unfounded allegations of possible fraud - even though the mandatory post-election audit and review process found a completely clean election.
There is no legitimate reason to second guess the integrity of the election in Crow Wing County or in Minnesota and we aren't going to engage in sweeping inquiries based on gut feelings, hunches and beliefs -- no matter how sincerely held they may be.
Minnesota’s elections continue to be safe and secure. It’s critical that we continue to fight against disinformation. Add your name and speak out against disinformation in our elections →

While most Minnesotans have faith in the state's elections (since our turnout of nearly 80% was #1 in the nation in 2020), a vocal minority has been misled by election lies.
Disinformation isn't going away - because it's part of a coordinated effort to undermine well-earned confidence in our democracy.
We can do our part by telling the truth - and by not giving in to attempts to legitimize disinformation about our election system. If you agree, add your name now →
Thanks,
Steve
