Anyone who aspires to be a teacher in modern public schools needs to understand that his or her expertise in a subject is no longer the main focus for success. Parents need to acknowledge it, too. The "We don't teach propaganda!" insistence continues unabated, of course, but as Jane Robbins explains, it now rings hollow. Those who hire teachers are completely on the woke bandwagon. Those who are not are retiring, and they are being replaced with the even more woke. Parents might love "their" teachers, but the system is stacked against them.
