We’ve updated our brand to reflect our commitment to global reproductive justice.

For almost 50 years, Ipas’s singular focus has been on expanding access to abortion care around the world. As the global movement for abortion rights has evolved to focus on abortion as a human rights and justice issue, not only a public health issue, so has Ipas.

Reproductive justice, put simply, is the right of every person to have basic autonomy over their body and sexuality. It centers the needs of Black and brown women and other often-marginalized groups but unites all people in the struggle for justice. Ipas is proud to be a trusted partner in this movement.”

At Ipas, we believe in justice, equity and shifting power. We recognize that having the right to abortion isn’t enough—because people around the world face economic, cultural, religious and systemic barriers that prevent them from accessing their rights. We work every day to break down those barriers. As we evolve our organization from a traditional NGO model to a global network with shared leadership, our brand update reflects our ongoing effort to put power in the hands of the people closest to our work.

And as we move forward, our vision and mission will remain the same. We’ll continue to be unapologetic champions for abortion rights, and we’ll continue to draw on our decades of global experience to offer expertise and resources on how to expand abortion access for all.
