Fellow Patriot,

As Governor of Texas, I will relentlessly defend the sovereignty of Texas and will never support an open borders policy.

Such policies put the safety and security of Texans at risk and have resulted in Texas’ designation as the number one state in America for human and sex trafficking, among other travesties that grow worse every day.

It is clear that we have problems that need to be solved immediately.

Dallas and Houston are the top two cities in America for human and sex trafficking. Combine that with rampant illegal immigration; a multi-headed hydra that is undermining our national security, endangering our local communities, threatening our educational and healthcare systems, and supporting transnational narco-terrorist criminal organizations.

It is time to put an end to the open borders agenda.

A lot of politicians claim to care -- parroting rhetoric without actually providing solutions. So, here is my definitive plan to restore our border:

As Governor, I will prepare, mobilize, and deploy the full strength of our Texas National Guard and Texas State Guard to conduct reconnaissance and surveillance missions along our border with the purpose of stopping the flow of persons and drugs along known infiltration routes.

As only a small portion of our border wall has been built, simply building a wall is not a panacea. I will put boots on the ground and additional electronic surveillance measures.

Next, I will designate Mexican cartels as the transnational criminal and terrorist organizations that they are. This will enable us to freeze their assets here in Texas, and arrest anyone working with these cartels.

I will crack down on real estate agencies that enable “stash houses.” The goal being to financially cripple these organizations, isolate them, and reduce their effectiveness -- saving Texas.

Additionally, I will revoke the licenses of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) that continue to aid and abet both illegal immigrants and cartels. This should be viewed as aiding and abetting criminality, pure and simple.

My administration will work with the Texas legislature to pass legislation enabling Texas to tax the remittances of illegal immigrants sent back to foreign nations.

If the federal government persists abdicating their constitutional duties and responsibilities to safeguard the sovereignty of Texas, I will establish a Texas Border Patrol agency with the powers to arrest, detain, and deport illegals from the State of Texas.

I will use the funds seized from cartels and illegal immigrant remittances to fund this organization. If the federal government does not abide by the rule of law, Texas will . . . you can count on that.

The policy of in-state tuition fees for illegal immigrants will end in Texas, nor will there be any Texas taxpayer-funded benefits for illegal immigrants, especially given that we have homeless veterans in the Lone Star State.

There you have it. That is my plan to restore our border, restore Texas, and to restore the way of American life in our state. However . . .
