Oakley for Congress is on the search for Finance, Communications, and Field Fellows for the 2022 primary and general election cycles. Imani Oakley is the first serious Progressive challenger in New Jersey’s 10th Congressional District (NJ-10). NJ-10 remains one of the most winnable districts for Progressives this cycle based on local factors, comparisons to other New Jersey Districts, and a strikingly low approval rating in Rep. Ideal candidates should have an interest in grassroots movement building and be excited about supporting a progressive candidate and campaign. We’re especially excited about people who haven’t been able to volunteer or contribute formally to a campaign in the past but are eager to do so! Ideal candidates should be Spanish-speaking, but all are welcome to apply.

Finance Fellows

Finance Fellows will be responsible for assisting with donor calls, text, and emails, research and prospecting, helping maintain our database, assisting with fundraising events and other activities to support the finance function.

Communications Fellows

Communications Fellows will be responsible for assisting with press hit tracking, researching various policy topics, editing and drafting memos, maintaining our press database, and other activities to support the communications team. Part of the time will also be allocated to support campaign fundraising efforts which will include assisting with donor calls, text, research, and prospecting.

Field Fellows

Field Fellows will be responsible for general organizing activities such as volunteer recruitment, direct voter contact, and staffing campaign events. Field fellows may be asked to participate in fundraising activities and will gain experience using digital organizing tools to help maintain and grow a robust field team.

Fellowships are remote, part-time (10-15 hours per week), and unpaid positions. We are accepting applications on a rolling basis.
