2021 rocked our most vulnerable communities in many ways. Even as cities locked down to stop the spread of COVID-19, we saw a historic rise in gun violence including record shootings and gun sales.
As Black and Brown communities battled this rising crisis, Community Justice ramped up our advocacy, education, and organizing efforts across the country to secure billions in funding for community-based violence intervention efforts, advance key policy to reduce gun violence, and elevate the urgency for action across the country.
Check out our 2021 Annual Report [[link removed]] , [[link removed]] highlighting our work last year, how we’ve worked to strengthen community-based solutions that successfully reduce gun violence, and empower voices in our communities to lead the effort to address this crisis.
Feel free to share this resource with your networks and thank you for your support, as we look ahead to 2022!
Onward,
Greg Jackson Jr.,
Executive Director
